Activity-3: Assessment of available surface and ground water resources with respect to climate variability and conjunctive use planning

Assessed water supply, demand, relative water supply, runoff availability in Pattamundai canal command, Kendrapara, Sukal minor, Puri and Darpanarayan, Nayagarh in deficit, normal, and excess rainfall years and bridging the mismatch through auxiliary reservoirs in canal command.

• Relative water supply (ratio of water supply and water demand over a period of time) : 0.55-0.65 at the head reach and 0.35- 0.50 at the tail reach of watercourses in winter. Except 2000 and 2012, relative water supply was 1.0 in rainy season.
