Advanced Capacity Building Programme on "Improving Water Productivity in Rainfed Agriculture" at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar during 15-19 January 2018
Lower yield with sub-optimum water productivity is the major concern in rainfed agriculture. Efficient water management is one of the options to improve water productivity. In this regard, ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar is organising a five-day advanced training programme on Improving Water Productivity in Rainfed Agriculture for Field level Officers of Directorate of Soil Conservation and Watershed Development, Government of Odisha under PMKSY at Bhubaneswar during 15-19 January 2018. Twenty eight officers are expected to attend the training. Experts from different National Institutes and Agricultural Universities have been invited for delivering lectures and interaction on the topics of agricultural water management in rainfed areas with the participants. Moreover, exposure visits to some research project sites in farmers' fields, research farms and Centre of Excellence are being arranged for the participants.
