A significantly higher grain yield in rice was obtained under conventional farming (CF) (4.46 t/ha) than organic (OF) and natural farming (NF). An 18-26% decline in grain yield was observed in OF/ NF compared to CF. Similarly, in tomatoes, a higher yield was obtained under CF (24.5 t/ha) followed by OF (20.1 t/ha) and the lowest under NF (18.5 t/ha). In green gram, the highest yield was observed in CF (618 kg/ha), followed by NF (542 kg/ha) and the least under OF (521 kg/ha). Irrigation amounting to 120 mm (supplemental irrigation), 360 mm, and 180 mm was applied in rice, tomato, and green gram, respectively, under CF, OF, and NF. The water productivity in CF was 16-21% higher than OF and NF in different crops.
