A study was conducted in the Unnakotiswar Dakhinakali micro-watershed (Odisha) to assess WHS performance and socio-economic impacts. Five WHSs (capacity: 1350–5000 m³) were analyzed for water demand, storage efficiency, and runoff (23.4–34.95%). Initial findings highlight inadequate post-project management and the need for strategic interventions to maintain design capacity. This study provides key insights for sustainable WHS utilization, ensuring long-term benefits for agriculture and water conservation.
