The first-year field experiment was laid out in Institute Research Farm, Mendhasal, Khordha. The water productivity of rice was highest under SRI method, which was similar to DSR method but significantly higher than PTR and AWD method of crop establishment. However, the maximum grain yield of rice was recorded under SRI method, which was statistically similar to PTR-CF method but significantly higher than PTR-AWD and DSR method of establishment.
