The 70th Republic Day was celebrated at ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar on 26th January, 2019. In the beginning, Director and Staff offered floral tribute to Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. Then Dr. S.K. Ambast, Director of the Institute unfurled the National Flag and addressed to the staff and family members of ICAR-IIWM. In his address, Director recalled the contributions made by our visionary leaders for getting us the Constitution of India. He also focused on water-energy relationship and how artificial intelligence is the need on which we need to stress upon. He urged all the staff members to work hard so that we can sustain the hard earned success in research and development endeavour to serve the farmers and fulfill the goal of doubling farmers' income. He highlighted some key achievements which the Institute has gained. The Republic Day celebration ended with an urge for cleanliness and plantations in our surrounding area.
