Two-days farmers' exposure training programme was conducted under Tribal Sub Plan (TSP) project at Sundargarh, Odisha during 25-26th September 2014. About 60 farmers (more than 83% ST farmers) including 30 women farmers participated in the training programme. The farmers were exposed to the different modern agriculture water management practices for increasing the water productivity. During the training programme, they were trained about the package of practices of aquaculture activities; care and maintenance of flow irrigation in minor irrigation systems; benefits of drip irrigation systems and different govt. schemes. An interaction meeting was held with KVK resource persons at KVK, Sundargarh. The farmers' were exposed to the KVK activities that are being carried out in their experimental farms. The farmers also visited Salepali village (one of the adopted village of KVK) and various crop fields of a leading farmer in Maholjore village of Sundargarh. They got exposed to intercropping system on groundnut and pulses; SRI activities; pointed gourd cultivation and hybrid rice cultivation. The exposure visit was coordinated by Dr. R. K. Panda, Dr. R. K. Mohanty and Dr. R. R. Sethi of the institute.
