Observation of Vigilance Awareness Week from 31.10.2016 to 05.11.2016 at ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar

The vigilance awareness week was observed from 31.10.2016 to 5.10.2015 at ICAR-Indian Institute of Water Management, Bhubaneswar. In the inaugural function of the vigilance awareness week on 31.10.16 was by Dr. S.K. Ambast, Director, ICAR-IIWM administered the pledges to all the staff members of the institute. Vigilance officer of ICAR-IIWM, Dr. S. Roy Chowdhury narrated the list of activities to be undertaken during vigilance observance week. In this occasion a lecture was organized at the institute on 2.11.2016 and was attended by staff members of the institute. Based on the main theme of this year's vigilance awareness week, the topic of the lecture was i.e. "Probity in handling public finance to eradicate corruption" and was delivered by Shri NVRN Murty,F & AO of ICAR-IIWM, Bhubaneswar. The main objective of the lecture was to bring awareness about common financial rules and importance of public participation for eradicating corruption. Two debate competitions were also organized on main theme of this year's vigilance awareness activity i.e. "Public participation in promoting integrity and eradicating corruption". Utkal Gourav High School , Delang in Puri district and Naindipur U.P. School, Naindipur,in Kendrapara district with active participation of stidents of these schools. Prizes were distributed to successful participants in this occasion.The valedictory function of the vigilance awareness week was organized on 5.11.2016. Director, ICAR-IIWM, Dr. S.K. Ambast, presided over the meeting. The valedictory function ended with vote of thanks proposed by Head of the Office, Dr. P.S. Brahmanand, Principal Scientist, ICAR-IIWM.
