Well known water conservationist Dr. Rajendra Singh, who is popularly known as 'Waterman of India' visited ICAR-IIWM campus and addressed the scientists and PMKSY trainees on 21st December 2017. For his work on water management, he has previously won 'Ramon Magsaysay award' in 2001 and 'Stockhome Water Prize' in 2015 He shared his experiences on how by constructing a huge number of water harvesting structures, he changed the micro-climate of the arid region of Rajasthan and brought about water resources and greenery to the area. On the occasion, Director and staffs of ICAR-IIWM felicitated him for his wonderful contribution in the field of water management.
